AlphaZoo!

Sorry no time to post last night. I spent my day yesterday between garage sales, ASL tutoring, Hailey's Kindergarten Graduation, the store and preparing an army for a trip to the Zoo. But let me tell you it was so worth it. I found both Ashley and Derek almost brand new bikes for next to nothing, I learned how to sign to Hailey, " When we get home you WILL clean your room.", I watched as my baby girl was awarded the LifeSkill Award for "Courage", and we all went to bed prepared for the wonderful time we had at the Zoo today. I'm tired as all get out but my spirit has been renewed. It's funny how something as small as a trip to the zoo with your kids can make everything seem alright. Even if it is just for a moment. No one fought, no one got sick, everyone remembered their manners. There were no tears and no tantrums. Just lots of smiles, and laughter and oh yeah PaPa and the popcorn! I got to spend time with my baby sister and her husband as well as the sweetest 6 month old nephew one could be blessed to have. My Mom and Dad even made the trip out to spend $19.00 to spend 3 hours with their grandkids, what awesome parents I have. So in honor of our AWESOME day at the zoo, I'm going to attempt to name one animal we saw at the zoo for every letter of the alphabet.
Here goes:
A-Alligator
B-Binturong
C-Capuchin Monkey
D-Dingo
E-Echinda
F-Fruit Bats
G-Gibbon
H-Horse
I-Ibis
J-Jellyfish
K-Kangaroo
L-Lemur
M-Millitary Macaws ( Paul asked if they were in the Army)
N-North American River Otters
O-Orangutan
P-Peacock
Q- Sorry there wasn't any animal who's name started with a Q(I even looked on the Zoo website.)
R-Reticulated Python
S-Sea Lions
T-Tiger
U-Once again I Checked there wasn't anything
V-Ditto for V
W-wallabies
X-Is there even an animal that starts with a X?
Y- Sorry no Yak's.
Z-Zebra Shark

Ok time to rest my weary bones. I'm Pooped!

Quickie

It's late and we only got home about 90 min ago. Work was busy, brides drove me nuts. But what's new? After work Nathan picked me up and we went shopping for a few things and then he took me to Logan's for a nice dinner. Service was bad, food was good, the company was GREAT! After stopping off at Meijer's to get Nathan some new tennis shoes, we came home and played a few songs together on Rock Band. All in all it was a wonderful evening. Thanks Nathan for knowing when I just need some down time. Remember: Nobody Loves You, Mesa.

GoodNight,

Back on the Horse

I decided today that I was going to get on this thing and I was going to write something. I had the idea back in November to start writting a blog, just to let myself get some of the things that bother me and stress me out off my chest in a construtive manner. So much for that idea, that was November and here it is May already.

Anyway, today is a new day and I see no reason not to start now. Not that anything really important happened today. I'm just in an off mood, and I'm bored out of my mind, so I might as well write.

The mail came early today. I was glad to see it. A few weeks ago I took a few days of training offered through The Indiana Resource Center for Families with Special Needs. I received extensive training on how to assist and provide education-related information to parents of children with disabilities. I'm now able to work with parents and orgnizations needing information, parent-to-parent support, training in parent involvement and special educationrights and responsibilities. I'm offcially an RPR, a Regional Parent Resource. Anyway, the mail came and in it was a package from IN*SOURCE that had all the press releases about the training, and a stipend check I totally forgot was comming. So that was a nice little surprise. I took it to the bank cashed it and said to hell with makeing supper!!!! I ordered Pizza Hut and Nathan and I feasted on the living room floor while watching the rest of Sweeney Todd. Not a movie I recommend anyone seeing, It was highly disturbing. Good thing we only rented it from NetFilx and didn't buy it ourselves.

Well I think that's all for now. I want to get to work on my list of Acronyms commonly used in Special Education.
